Browns Mills, NJ WW/Press/December 7, 2018 – William Roger Fatum, Psy.D L.P.C., N.C.C., Principal Psychologist and Founder of the consulting firm Explore the Challenge was selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Top Doctors of North America 2018-19 edition of The Who’s Who Directories

The accomplishments attained by Dr. William Roger Fatum in the field of Counseling Services warrants inclusion into The Top Professional of North America.

Explore the Challenge provides a humanistic and holistic approach to counseling, consulting, workshops, and seminars. They work with anger management and deal with difficult and problematic people and situations. Their presentation and counseling style is eclectic with an emphasis on Habilitation Therapy, which was developed by Explore the Challenge. The staff’s awareness was based on the examination of their own myths, ideas and stereotypes. The knowledge they gained can help others develop an adaptable non-stereotyping conception based on proper communication techniques as well as dealing with the social dynamics of diverse groups of people.

In 1997 Dr. William Roger Fatum started the consulting firm, Explore the Challenge. His work has been in the areas of adolescent development, communications, mentoring and mediation. He has worked and trained students and professionals at the elementary, high school and college levels. He has worked with community agencies, courts, police departments, organizations and companies to provide classroom presentations, workshops and seminars. Through his work, Explore the Challenge, has taught constructive techniques in communication, mentoring, human development and working to deal with various types of problematic situations.

Roger was the Director of Juvenile Services for a residential rehabilitation center in Missouri. It was Dr. Fatum’s expertise that got the agency their state certification and their juvenile component fully accredited. Roger developed and implemented many new programs that led the accreditation team to pronounce this program one of the best in the country.

Roger worked for the New Jersey Department of Corrections and the Juvenile Justice Commission for twenty-five years. During his tenure he was a teacher, counselor, housing-unit supervisor, program development specialist and special assistant to the Director of Juvenile Parole and Transitional Services. He was the Director of the Project O.P.T.I.O.N. program and was the Internship and Volunteer Coordinator.

Roger Fatum is presently an adjunct professor at Kean University in the Criminal Justice Department. As well as senior partner in Explore the Challenge a behavior management consulting firm and has a psychology private practice.

William Roger Fatum has received his Psy.D. in Psychology from California Coast University. His studies in Community Psychology, Rational Emotive and Behavioral psychology theories have affected his work with problematic children through the use of Habilitation Therapy. He holds a master’s degree in psychological counseling from the College of New Jersey and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology/Social work and a minor in Education from William Paterson University. Roger has acquired certifications in teaching and educational administration. He is a National Board Certified Counselor, a Licensed Counselor in New Jersey and a Certified Public Manager.

Roger Fatum is married to his wife Anne they have three children and two grandsons.
