Jackson Heights, NY/Press/December 4, 2018 – Dr. César Manuel Garcés, Carranza, PhD of Queens County Neuropsychiatric Institute was recognized as a Top Doctor of North America in the 2018-19 edition by The Who’s Who Directories.
Dr. César Garcés has been serving Latinos since 1985. He has worked at The Puerto Rican Family Institute Outpatient Mental Health Clinic from 1985 to 1990; Retired from Bronx Lebanon Hospital from 1997 to 2013. Dr. César Garcés is in private practice at The Queens Neuropsychiatric institute since 1997, Queens New York, and in The Community Counseling Services since 2012, Center Moriches, New York. In 2007 received The Best Social Worker award from the Department of Medicine, Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. On April, 2017 was awarded por la Organizacio′n Internacional de Trabajadores Sociales (OITS) with El Premio a la Excelencia en Trabajo Social. Since 2010 Dr. Garces has been representing the United States as a Presenter in different Social Work Conferences in Peru, Chile, Ecuador, M′exico and Colombia, in addition, In 2011 he published a book titled “Social Work in the Hospital Setting.” In March 2018 he published “La Intervencion del Trabajador Social en El Centro Hospitalario-Retos para la Profession (edicion revisada). Born in Lima Peru, Dr. César Garcés secret to success has been perseverance and confidence in oneself.
Dr. César Garcés is a member of the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW); the International Association of Social Workers (IASW); the National Association of Puerto Ricans and Hispanic Social Workers (NAPHSW); and the Cambridge Who is Who 2007-2008. He has a Bachelor Degree from South Western College, 1979; MSW from Fordhan University, 1985; and a DSW from Yeshiva University-WWSSW, 2002.
